31 AUG 2011: Boston’s Logan International Airport is the first in the US to operate a self-contained counter-terrorism intelligence facility. Since the day after Sept. 11, 2001, when Al Quaeda terrorists boarded planes at Logan Airport, before hijacking them and flying them into the World Trade Center towers in New York City, Logan airport security officials have met daily at 8:30 a.m.
