VEGAS FIRED UP FOR THE HOLIDAYS

As the weather gets colder, the entertainment in Las Vegas gets hotter with concerts, holiday comedy acts, plays, mazes, and fireworks on tap to entice visitors for the holiday season.

From traditional holiday festivities such the annual Las Vegas Santa Run to lavish concerts, sporting events and comedy shows from the world’s best entertainers, there is no shortage of events to keep visitors. Those who miss the snow at home can even strap on ice skates.

Here’s a list of holiday highlights for Sin City, culminating the never boring New Year’s extravaganza:

Enchant on The Strip – Resorts World Las Vegas: The spectacle will span 4 hectares and will feature a one-of-a-kind immersive walk-thru light maze experience and a 30-m.-tall holiday tree, ice skating, live entertainment, Santa visits, interactive games and a holiday marketplace featuring local artisans. Nov. 19-Jan. 1

The Las Vegas Great Santa Run: The Las Vegas Great Santa Run is returning to the streets of downtown Las Vegas for its 18th year. The event features a hybrid format this year, offering runners in person and virtual options. The event begins with a fun-filled pre-show under the Viva Vision canopy at Fremont Street Experience, complete with food trucks, vendors and live entertainment. Proceeds of the event benefit Opportunity Village, a local non-profit that supports individuals with severe physical and intellectual disabilities. In-person race: Dec. 3. Virtual race: Dec. 3-24

The Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas: For the 11th year, The Ice Rink at Boulevard Pool will transform into a holiday spectacle high above the Las Vegas Strip. Visitors will be able to enjoy roof-top ice skating on more than 390 sq. m. feet of real ice, roasting s’mores at fire pits, seasonal cocktails, classic holiday films and breathtaking views surrounded by vibrant city lights. Nevada Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts: Now celebrating its 50th year, the Nevada Ballet Theatre’s performance of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker has become a local holiday tradition. Choreographed by James Canfield, the NBT’s iteration of the classic ballet is a magical journey from Dec. 9 to 24 through a larger-than-life world filled with waltzing flowers, nimble fairies, and moonlit snow.

Snow Carnival Holiday Forest at M Resort Spa Casino: Stirring the imagination and guests’ appetite for winter-themed delights, Snow Carnival will also offer wintery eats, treats and drinks to pair with the season’s excitement. More than 350 tons of real snow falling from above will coat the ground in an inviting blanket. Each day 50 tons of fresh snow will be added throughout the indoor Snow Carnival engagement. The carnival begins Nov. 23 and runs throughout the Holiday season

Immersive Nutcracker-A Winter Miracle-The Shops at Crystals: Guests will experience a 30-minute immersive experience that will introduce children to the art of ballet and storytelling with the sweeping music of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The experience will encompass 500,000 cubic feet of projects composed of over 1 million frames of video, curating a grand immersive display of The Nutcracker from the opening to the finale. Nov. 19-Dec. 30.

A Very Terry Christmas at New York-New York Hotel & Casino: Comedian, ventriloquist and America’s Got Talent champion Terry Fator brings the holiday-themed version of his show back to New York-New York for another year of yuletide fun. The anticipated entertainment tradition will feature holiday songs and Fator’s stable of lovable characters. Nov. 25 through Dec. 27.

‘Twas the Knight at Excalibur Hotel & Casino: The holiday edition of the Tournament of Kings dinner show makes its return to Excalibur Hotel & Casino continuing the popular holiday tradition. The Tournament of Kings Arena magically transforms into a winter wonderland during this limited engagement. Nov. 23 – Dec. 25.

Ron White at The Mirage Las Vegas: Popular comedian Ron White will bring the house down with laughter with two performances over the holiday weekend in the Aces of Comedy Series Dec. 23-24 at The Mirage Theater.

Bruno Mars NYE Shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM: Multi-GRAMMY Award-winning superstar Bruno Mars announced he will perform two New Year’s Eve weekend shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas Dec. 30-31.

Tenacious D Live NYE Weekend at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas: Jack Black and Kyle Gass, Tenacious D will harness their unmatched energy to count down to the New Year this Dec. at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, part of Curio Collection by Hilton. Longtime fans can enjoy the pair’s rock hits on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve weekend unlike any other along the Las Vegas Strip.

David Foster at Wynn Las Vegas: Canadian musician and Sixteen-time GRAMMY Award winner David Foster will return to Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas for a two-night engagement to kick off the holiday season on Dec. 16 and 17. He will be joined by special guest singer Katharine McPhee.

Las Vegas Golden Knights VS Nashville Predators: The Golden Knights face off against Western Conference foe Nashville Predators at 12 p.m. on New Years Eve. Check out the action before heading out for a night of celebrations.

Las Vegas Raiders host the 49ers: Kick off the new year with an exciting football game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the San Francisco 49ers on New Year’s Day. The Game kicks off at 1 p.m. at Allegiant Stadium.

Kevin Hart: New Year’s Eve Experience at Resorts World: Kevin Hart takes his Netflix special to the Resorts World Theatre for an exclusive New Years Eve experience. Hart will perform on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

Pitbull’s New Years Eve Celebration at Resorts World: Mr. Worldwide will be headlining a special New Year’s Eve event, bringing all of the fiery reggaeton and Latin hip hop that skyrocketed his music career in the early 2000’s.

Fremont Street Experience NYE Time Of Your Life Festival: Fremont Street Experience’s NYE, Time of Your Life Festival is the official New Year’s Eve party of the city of Las Vegas. The event will feature live performances by legendary acts Bush, Sugar Ray, The Wailers ft. Julian Marley, Sugarhill Gang, All-4-One, Tag Team, DJ Skribble and more to be announced.
