TTC SHOWCASES BRANDS WITH 2023 FAM TRIPS

The Travel Corporation is offering three FAM opportunities in 2023 to help Canadian and American agents (including independents) get first-hand experiences with its expansive portfolio of brands. TTC Tour Brands counts Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, Trafalgar, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver, and Contiki in its portfolio.

The FAMs include an itinerary to the American South, an Italy FAM for Independent Travel Consultants, and trip to Croatia, specifically designed for Insight Vacations.

“Travel advisors have always been key to our sales proposition and now more than ever, we understand the importance of hands-on, personal experiences to interact with and understand each of our brands,” says Melissa DaSilva, President TTC Tour Brands North America. “Consumers seek advisors for their incredible depth of knowledge and through these new FAMs, as well as our suite of travel advisor programs, we’re giving them the tools to guide clients from the inspiration journey to the sale, setting them up for success across our brands.”

The FAMs will give agents the opportunity to experience a range of products across Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Costsaver, Contiki and Luxury Gold. Each trip includes the opportunity for participants to learn about the different aspects of a guided trip from each of the brands and the experiences that make each one unique. Travel advisors will also be able to meet with fellow agents from across North America, and possibly the world, to build more connections within the industry.

The trips include:

• ‘Taste & Sounds of the South’ (May 8-15, CDN$1,750 p.p., twin; single sup $711): This TTC Tour Brands trip is an adventure through the Southern US and each day of the trip is allotted to and includes accommodation for a different TTC Tour Brand between Trafalgar, Costsaver, Contiki, Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold. For example, on the Costsaver day in Memphis, advisors will be able to tailor the itinerary to their interests with the choice between two ‘Make Travel Matter’ experiences, such as a visit to the National Civil Rights Museum with a local specialist or a tour of the city’s musical heritage from the nation’s only music bus. On Trafalgar day in Natchez, advisors will enjoy a ‘Be My Guest’ dinner of Southern food and punch at the historic Lansdowne Plantation. For info and to apply, click HERE.

Italy for Independent Agents (March 24-30; CDN$1,790 p.p., twin; single sup $345): This trip will showcase the range of offerings across Trafalgar, Costsaver, Insight Vacations and Contiki at one of the sales division’s most popular destinations, Italy, and offer tips on how to grow their independent travel agencies with the companies. Advisors will have one-of-a-kind experiences in Rome, Venice, Florence, Pisa and more, including visiting artisanal workshops to learn about loom-weaving textiles and glassblowing, cooking classes, and a ‘Be My Guest’ dinner in Tuscany. • ‘Captivating Croatia’ (May 7-13, CDN$1,822 p.p., twin; single sup $520). This Insight FAM begins in Zagreb with a city tour, followed by an excursion to Plitvice National Park where tour participants will join a local expert to learn how research is monitored on the natural species of the park or to meet with the industrious women of the Tara Community Centre who produce handicrafts. In the Old Town of Split, travellers will explore the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace and more and try traditional konoba. On the way to Dubrovnik, advisors will make a stop at the fishing village of Mali Ston where guests eat oysters straight from the sea. And in colourful Dubrovnik, agents can enjoy the view from the seaside hotel before exploring the city on tour and during free time. Apply HERE.
