If you’re ready to do a bit of networking, and be entertained by interesting and informed speakers over lunch, and who isn’t, Discover America Canada’s Luncheon Meeting and Presentation in conjunction with Discover America Day is the place to be.
Taking place Thursday, September 15, from 12:30 pm- 2:30 pm at the Acadian Lofts in Toronto, Discover America Canada members, and non-members, are invited to meet American partners, enjoy lunch and be enlightened by the luncheon speakers, Rania Williams, Senior Regional Manager – Canada, Expedia Group Media Solutions, who will be speaking on the latest trends and insights from Expedia Group Media Solutions, and astronaut John Bennett Herrington, Commander, USN (Ret), Herrington Aerospace Limited.
When Herrington made his voyage to space aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour’s STS-113 mission, he became the first Native American in space. An enrolled member of the Chickasaw Nation, Herrington carried its flag on his 13-day trip to space, as well as several personal items with him. Among those items was this traditional flute. He was an astronaut at NASA from 1996 – 2005.
