ENTERPRISE FLORIDA LEADER RESIGNS

07 MAR 2017: Chris Hart has resigned as president and CEO of Enterprise Florida, the embattled state agency for economic development. Hart does not share the same vision for Enterprise Florida as Gov. Rick Scott, Hart said in a resignation letter he wrote to Stan Connally, vice chairman of the organization’s board of directors.

Scott’s office apparently was caught off-guard by the resignation, calling it “surprising,” in a response sent to Tampa Bay Business Journal.

“It is odd that Chris Hart never shared any differences of opinion or vision with the Governor until we first read that he had them in his resignation letter.
