DESTINATIONS INTERNATIONAL: Toronto to host major trade conference

Destinations International, the world’s largest resource for official destination organizations and convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs), reports that registration is open for its 2022 Annual Convention – to be held in Toronto.

A first for the city, the event will be held July 19-21 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

“We get excited about our annual convention every year, but this year, we are especially excited to reconvene destinations from around the world in one of the most globally attractive cities in the world: Toronto,” said Don Welsh, president and CEO of Destinations International. “2022 will be the first year we have hosted our annual convention in Toronto and we are thrilled to work with… Destination Toronto to create a convention experience like no other.”

The annual event offers educational and networking opportunities for destination organization professionals and the organizations that support them.

“As North America’s fourth largest city, and the world’s most diverse city, it’s fitting that Toronto will be welcoming destination professionals from around the globe for Destinations International’s 2022 Annual Convention,” said Scott Beck, president and CEO, Destination Toronto.

He added, “The global pandemic has shown to the world the impact visitors have in every destination around the globe. There has never been a more critical time to come together as an industry, share ideas and engage in conversations about the important work we do for our communities.:
