As it prepares for its return to service beginning July 25, Norwegian Cruise Line, is launching a five-episode docuseries that chronicles the relaunch of the brand’s 17-ship fleet. Entitled NCL’s ‘great cruise comeback,’ the first episode of “EMBARK – The Series,” will live stream tonight on the cruise line’s web site and Facebook at 8 p.m. EST.
The 30-minute episode focuses on the ongoing measures for a healthy and safe return to sailing, including unscripted conversations with executive leaders including Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ President and CEO Frank Del Rio and President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Harry Sommer.
Viewers will get an exclusive look at the brand’s preparations for its return to service, including technology designed to enhance the embarkation process, how the brand’s shipboard crew and entertainers have been managing over the last year, and how the temporary pandemic pause has affected small businesses and partners, including Miami-based distillery Wynwood Brewing Company.
A live pre-show conversation and Q&A session featuring Sommer and NCL executives and team members will also take place at 7:30 p.m. EST.
The episodes will also be available on demand.
Viewers can also watch previous “spotlights” on NCL’s EMBARK content platform, including “Choir of Man: Live from London” and “NCL: Live from Broadway” virtual performances, which aired in late 2020 and reached nearly 900,000 viewers. The series is designed to focus on the “extraordinary offerings and experiences available across the NCL fleet.”
