AIR TRANSAT TO OFFER MORE IN SUMMER 2023

With 275 flights a week to more than 40 destinations at the height of the 2023 summer season, Air Transat will strengthen its position in Europe, increase the number of connections to the South and the United States, and enhance its domestic service, says the airline.

“This flight program is perfectly in line with our mission, which is to encourage discovery and foster openness, whatever the destination or the reason for travelling,” said Michèle Barre, VP, Network, Revenue Management and Pricing, Air Transat. “From an operational standpoint, the more efficient use of our aircraft allows us to increase the frequency of flights and regain a capacity similar to what we had prior to the pandemic.”

Europe

At the height of the season, the airline will offer 88 direct flights weekly to 19 European destinations from Montreal, including 14 to Paris, seven to London and Rome, and six to Marseille.

Out of Toronto, 73 direct flights a week are scheduled to 15 cities in Europe, including 14 to London, seven to Glasgow, Rome and Paris, and six to Dublin and Manchester.

Finally, from Quebec City, three weekly direct flights are scheduled to Paris and one to London.

United States

From Montreal, Air Transat will offer a total of 16 direct flights each week to the United States, including four to Fort Lauderdale, three to Orlando, and three each to Miami, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. In addition, out of Toronto, seven direct flights will depart every week, including four to Fort Lauderdale and three to Orlando. From Quebec City, the company will again offer one direct weekly flight to Fort Lauderdale.

South

In keeping with the desires of Canadian seekers of sand, sun and sea, Air Transat will offer a selection of 11 destinations in Mexico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic , as well as Jamaica and Haiti, departing from Montreal, Toronto, and Quebec.

From both Montreal and Toronto, Cancun and Punta Cana top frequency with seven weekly flights.

Domestic

Saying it is encouraged by consumer response to travel within Canada, Air Transat will continue to offer numerous domestic flights out of Montreal and Toronto next summer, notably city pairs between Montreal and Toronto (10), Quebec (3), Calgary (7) and Vancouver (7).
