AIR CANADA VIDEO TOUTS TOGETHERNESS

To celebrate the season, Air Canada is hoping to bring back some holiday magic with its newest campaign, ‘Tis the season to believe,’ featuring a video that plays on the theme of togetherness at time when many people have been separated by the pandemic.

Set to the ballads “I Saw Love,” by Canadian singer-songwriter Forest Blakk and Cœur de pirate’s “Comme des enfants” in the French version, the video mixes live action and animation to tell the story of a boy who receives a snow globe as a gift from his mother, an Air Canada pilot, and with a little imagination is transported into a snow globe world, inspired by the strength Canadians have shown during the pandemic.

The video marks a return to storytelling for Air Canada as it seeks ways to emotionally connect its brand to Canadians who haven’t been able to travel in nearly two years. It will be shared in multiple forms, including an extended version for Air Canada’s owned channels. In addition, a 60-second version will be shown in cinemas, 30 and 60-second versions on television across Canada, and 15- and 30-second versions on social media and digital platforms.

“This year’s holiday brand spot, ‘Tis the season to believe,’ was inspired by the universally shared experiences and emotions felt over the course of the pandemic. But this piece is also inspired by the resilience and power of love and determination that has brought us back together,” says Air Canada VP Andy Shibata.
