SAVE THE DATE: ACTA ready to reconnect at live events

Channeling current optimism that the pandemic is at last petering out and a return to in-person events is in the offing, ACTA says it is ready to reconnect “face to face” with members, albeit later in the year, with a series of “save the date” encounters already on the drawing board.

At the forefront of the association’s plans are road-show events in September –Toronto on the 14th, Vancouver on the 21st, and Montreal on the 28th – that will allow attendees to:

• (Re)connect with peers and all sectors of the Canadian travel industry
• learn from world-class leaders on topics that impact your business today and help shape it for tomorrow
• Discover new opportunities to bring your business to the next level
• Brush-up on global travel industry trends and insights
• Interact with the over 40 suppliers on the trade show floor and during the networking reception, and
• Qualify to win prizes!

The one-day conferences, which already count close to two dozen sponsors (including premium sponsor Air Canada and Manulife) will be complimentary for ACTA members to attend and tailored to benefit front line travel agents, independent contractors, senior leaders, consortia groups and host agencies.

“We have really missed the many advantages of meeting face to face during the pandemic and while our virtual events have been very well attended and successful, we really look forward to bringing the industry together again in person,” says ACTA president Wendy Paradis.

Golf

The association notes that its annual ACTA Ontario Golf Tournament will also make a comeback in 2022 at the Royal Ontario Golf Club in Milton on Thursday, July 14, with proceeds going to help support the Tourism Cares Charity and the ACTA Advocacy Fund.
