ACTA is inviting members of Ontario’s travel trade to throw their two cents worth into the discussion on the Travel Industry Council of Ontario’s recently announced review of its funding model and the Compensation Fund.
The association says it has begun consultations with the Ontario government following the announcement of the TICO review in late September and will be submitting a brief at the end of this month.
“We are working with senior government officials and providing input at this critical stage,” says ACTA president Wendy Paradis, who adds that the association is keen to receive input from its members before submitting its brief to the Ontario government.
To that end, ACTA has launched an online survey seeking feedback on how travel agencies and independent travel agents see TICO’s role evolving in the future.
Members of the trade are encouraged to submit their opinions by 5 p.m. EST, Oct. 26, to ensure it is analyzed in advance of the government submission.
