A mere 2 percent of ship’s officers are women, but not at Celebrity Cruises. The line that made history hiring the first female American captain, Kate McCue is about to have its first ship sailing with an entirely female bridge and officer team.

As part of Celebrity’s #BRIDGEthegap program that now sees women in 22 percent of bridge staff, Celebrity Edge will sail with an all-female officer team representing 17 different countries.
