More than 110 cruise ships from 18 cruise lines, including all the largest U.S. brands, have signed onto the Covid-19 program for cruise ships set up by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.
The policies, mostly effective as of March 1, include allowing guests to go mask-free in many public spaces, reducing isolation and quarantine rules and more leeway in testing.
Carnival Corp.–whose brands include Holland America Line, Princess and Seabourn Cruises–as well as Royal Caribbean Group, including Celebrity and Silversea Cruises, have opted in with all their brands. They join Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, whose brands include Oceania and Regent Seven Seas, which was the first to decide to opt in to the new standards which replace the CDC’s Conditional Sailing Order.
