Promising a refresh perspective in your newsfeed, small boat adventure company UnCruise Adventures has started its own adventure travel podcast. Dubbed No Ordinary Adventure, the 30- to 45-minute curated audio stories are hosted by industry veteran and UnCruise CEO Dan Blanchard.
Six new episodes have been released across all major podcast platforms to mark the launch of the series with additional episodes to be added monthly.
Each month Blanchard will host conversations with industry leaders and travellers from around the world. Each episode includes an industry guest to offer insights on travel, tourism, and adventure across the industry. Recent guests’ include Out There Magazine editor Uwern Jong; Glacier Bay National Park superintendent Phillip Hooge; ASTA CEO Zane Kerby; Tlingit Tribal Elder and Alaskan politician Joe Williams; Port of Seattle tourism director Ron Peck; and outdoor industry leader Courtney Condy who founded Occupation Wild.
The idea that I can take my love of storytelling to a new level is appealing to me now more than ever, says Blanchard. This is a time when we can use more positive news and perspectives. Our goal was to create a podcast that empowers diversified views and conversations while staying connected to our guests and peers.
He adds, I’m looking forward to opening this new door and connecting with our guests and other industry leaders. This is an example of how our company and the industry is pivoting. We are listening to our guests’ needs and having candid conversations, and with six episodes out, and more on the schedule, we’re just getting started.
The podcast can be found on the company’s website in addition to iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, Stitcher, and Google Podcasts. The company will soon release it as a video podcast of the same name on its YouTube channel.
