VACATION VIBES: Sunwing gets its flamingos in a row for winter season

Sunwing Vacations Group hosted its second annual leadership event last week north of Toronto, bringing together approximately 150 leaders across its six vacation and retail travel brands for a day of celebration and learning about key business, brand and strategic updates that are positioning the group for continued future growth.

The event at the Arlington Estate in Vaughan, which included a presentation on the importance of the vacations business to the WestJet Group’s overall growth from Westet CEO Alexis von Hoensbroech, saw all presenters wore matching tropical-inspired shirts emblazoned with flamingos and palm leaves to elevate the vacation vibes of the event throughout the day.

Highlights from this year’s Amplify Leaders Event included:

  • A retrospective on the business over the past year and key milestones from Andrew Dawson, President of Sunwing Vacations Group
  • Highlights for the upcoming winter season and the group’s strategic vision for the future from Samantha Taylor, Chief Marketing and Digital Officer for Sunwing Vacations Group
  • An executive panel discussion addressing thought-provoking questions from attendees
