THE MOFFATTS: Music Travel Love

We have to thank long-time reader and Canadian travel industry mainstay Nancy Drolet for this one. You may remember the Moffatts as Canada’s answer to boy band Hanson – four brothers, including triplets, from Vancouver – who, as a country and later pop outfit scored a No. 1 hit in Canada in 2000 with “Bang Bang Boom.”

Fast forward to 2019 and brothers Clint and Bob have reinvented themselves as a soft rock acoustic guitar duo, touring and making videos under the “Music Travel Love” moniker.

Covering such hits as “Stand By Me,” “Every Breath You Take,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” and “The Power of Love,” the brothers perform in such exotic – and gorgeous – locations as the edge of the Grand Canyon; a sandbar in Camiguin, Philippines; on the shores of Lake Powell in Nevada and Abraham Lake, Alberta; and the cliffs of Isle de Madeleine, Quebec.

In each case the scenery shares centre stage in the simple but professionally shot videos, enhancing the duo’s easy-on-ears versions of old favourites, but also inspiring the viewer’s wanderlust.

Check out this sample. Ben E. King would surely approve.
