Sandals is closing all 15 of its properties from March 30 to May 15. Founder Butch Stewart said, “Never could we have imagined the impact the current global health crisis would have on the world. In these unprecedented times, and now more than ever, the safety and health of our valued guests is of paramount importance.”

He said the company will recover “better, stronger and more passionate than ever.”

Sandals is asking guests who have affected bookings to reschedule for a later date.

Stewart said the company would take this time to make further enhancements to its resorts.

No new arrivals will be accepted as of March 23.
