With summer waning but the heat remaining in Toronto, there’s still time to not only get out to a patio, but – better still – have a dip while doing so. Such is the premise at Cabana Pool Bar, billed as the city’s largest outdoor restaurant patio.
Set along Lake Ontario in the city’s port lands district, a few minutes from both downtown and the Distillery District, the pool bar (part of the Cabana Waterfront Restaurant) boasts a 50,000 sq.-ft. patio and some of the city’s best views.
More uniquely, the space also includes a pool.
This summer, the Cabana bar, which opened in 2013, has been transformed into a full restaurant to accommodate COVID-19 protocols (including fewer guests), and reservations are required to eat (max six per group). Lunch, dinner, drinks and weekend brunch are served by Oliver & Bonacini and feature seasonal ingredients across a diverse range of upscale-casual and patio-friendly fare.
Cabanas with pool access can also be booked via family and adult packages based on minimum food and drink spend.
The patio is located at 11 Polson St. at Polson Pier, off of Cherry St., and is open daily, Mondays 3 to 11 p.m. and Tuesday-Sunday, noon to 11 p.m.
