NORWEGIAN BRINGS JOY TO ICY STRAIT POINT

17 MAY 2019: Norwegian Joy made history Wednesday as the largest cruise ship to sail into Icy Strait Point, Alaska. A striking destination in the Native Tlingit village of Hoonah, Alaska, Icy Strait Point is an authentic, Alaska Native owned-and-operated experience that features over 20 excursions, including whale-watching tours, zip lining and ATV and Jeep expeditions.

Built around a restored 1912 Alaska salmon cannery, Icy Strait Point allows guests easy access to stunning Alaska wilderness and wildlife as well as genuine Native Tlingit hospitality.

Norwegian Joy will continue to cruise to Alaska through October 5, 2019, before repositioning to Los Angeles for her first Panama Canal sailing to Miami on October 11.

She will return to the West Coast after a series of Panama Canal-Caribbean cruises from Miami on November 24 when she will begin cruising to the Mexican Riviera from Los Angeles until January 17, 2020.
