08 MAY 2019: With summer around the corner, Air Transat is offering several new features that will improve its passengers’ inflight experience. On May 1, the airline introduced the summer 2019 Chef’s Menu by Daniel Vézina and its enhanced Bistro menu for southern flights. Kids Club members can look forward to some all-new surprises, while the latest issue of Atmosphere magazine is now on board for all to enjoy.
New dishes
Beginning May 1, the gourmet menu has included a new Portuguese-style cod along with five passenger favourites. The Chef’s Menu by Daniel Vézina is free in Club Class and available in Economy Class at a cost of $18 for breakfast and $25 for lunch/dinner. Passengers can pre-order the meals created by the Quebec chef by calling the airline’s Booking Centre at 1 877-TRANSAT or by visiting the Air Transat website.
Also worth noting, a new vegan option has been added to meet the growing demand. Hence, Economy Class passengers flying to/from the South and US will be able to order the Mexican vegan salad for $8.99.
On-board surprises for young travellers
New surprises await members of Air Transat’s popular Kids Club. On departure flights, they’ll receive a knapsack, travel diary, coloured pencils and postcard. On transatlantic flights, they’ll also be given an eye mask and a cozy blanket to help them relax.
