05 SEP 2019: Club Med Canada wishes to inform its business partners of a significant change to its teams. Carolyne Doyon has been named president and chief executive officer of Club Med North America and Amélie Brouhard is named vice president, Canada and Mexico
Doyon is joining Club Med’s General Management Committee. After more than ten years heading Club Med Canada and Mexico, she is joining the North American head office in Miami and will oversee more than 3,000 employees in the area. She will be in charge of sales, operations and development activities for four offices and eight resorts.
Xavier Mufraggi, who has held this position for more than 10 years is appointed chief executive officer of EAF markets (Europe Africa Middle-East), and will be based in Club Med Paris office.
Brouhard, currently Marketing and Communications director for Canada, is promoted to vice president, Canada and Mexico. She has solid marketing expertise and nearly ten years’ experience in the travel industry in France and Canada. In recent years, she has developed key business insights and will be leading the continued development of Club Med’s sales activities in Canada and Mexico.
“I’d like to acknowledge Club Med’s excellent results in Canada in recent years, which were only achieved with the unfailing support of our business partners and the collaboration of the key industry players,” said Doyon.
“I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our partners, many of whom have become friends over the years. My new position will keep me in direct contact with the Canadian travel industry. The relationships that we’ve built on respect, transparency and trust will remain, even at distance.
In this spirit of continuity, I’m confident that Amélie will meet the ambitious challenges that we’ve set for ourselves in the Canadian market.”
Club Med has been operating in Quebec for more than 40 years and has nearly 60 employees in its Montréal office.
“Now is a great time to be joining the Club Med Executive Committee in North America. Novelties for our resorts are flourishing, and the teams are passionate about the brand and their missions,” said Brouhard.
“I’m especially proud of the progress that Club Med has already made in Canada, and I’d like to reaffirm our complete trust in our business partners. I look forward to continuing the journey with them.”
