ACTA will host an advocacy town hall meeting on June 20 with guest presenter and senior accountant Mike Libbey, who will discuss ways that independent travel agents can organize their business to manage risk from future emergency events.
Scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m. EST, the presentation (in English) will highlight important “lessons learned” during the COVID-19 pandemic and explore specific steps independent travel agents can take, should there be renewed border measures. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask accounting questions and are encouraged to prepare these in advance.
Following Libbey’s presentation, ACTA execs, president Wendy Paradis and director of advocacy and industry relations Avery Campbell will review important updates on ACTA’s advocacy priorities, including issues regarding the labour shortage and borders, followed by a Q&A.
The town hall is complimentary for all ACTA members. Non-members can attend for a $25 fee, which will go towards a new ACTA membership registration in 2022.
