12 NOV 2018: The president of Air Transat is leaving the airline after five years at the helm. The tour operator Transat A.T. Inc. announced that Jean-Francois Lemay would leave in a few months. Chief operating officer Annick Guerard said in a release that he is leaving to “take on new challenges.”
Lemay has been with the company for seven years.
He is credited with overseeing a series of changes, including reducing air costs, transforming the fleet and installing a new senior management team.
Montreal-based Air Transat flies to about 60 destinations in 26 countries.
No successor has been selected.
