Yuka Suzuki has been named Executive Director of the Japan National Tourism Organization office in Toronto. The veteran tourism professional, who has previously worked for Destination British Columbia in Tokyo, has a “strong passion” for both Canada and Japan, and has dedicated much of her career to fostering stronger connections between the two, making her uniquely qualified for the position, according to the JNTO.
With a proven track record in developing and implementing successful destination marketing strategies, Suzuki “deeply understands the Canadian market” as she works to promote Japan as a premier destination for both business and leisure travellers, the JNTO continues.
During her 30-year career, she has also worked at JTB (one of the largest travel agencies in Japan) and has an extensive network of industry relationships in both countries.
