JAMAICA TOURISM APPOINTMENT: Philip Rose to Regional Director in US

22 JAN 2019: The Jamaica Tourist Board announced the appointment of Philip Rose as Regional Director of Tourism, Northeast USA, effective January 1, 2019. Rose served recently as the Jamaica Tourist Board’s Canadian Regional Director for seven years and prior to that district sales manager for the Western and South Western USA.

“We wish to thank Philip for his role in helping to grow the Canadian market and look forward to leveraging his skills to build on our US success,“ said Donnie Dawson, Deputy Director of Tourism, The Americas.

With a proven track record at growing markets even during economically challenging times, Rose will seek to bring his expertise and business acumen to further grow arrivals from the Northeast USA.

Rose’s career in the travel industry began in 1995 as a destination marketing consultant to several small tourism entities. He joined the Jamaica Tourist Board in 1998 as a sales representative for the mid-west region and was promoted to the post of district sales manager in 2007.

Rose is a graduate of DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, where he pursued advance studies in Tourism & Travel Services Marketing Operations.
