Royal Caribbean announced this week it will cancel the remaining 2022 Hong Kong cruise-to-nowhere season, which included Spectrum of the Seas sailings on dates through February and March. The cruise company said the cancellation became necessary when Hong Kong extended Covid-19 prevention measures and the uncertainty of the local situation.
The cancelled cruises were scheduled for, February 18, 21, 24, 26, 28, and March 4, 7, 10, 12, 14, 17.
Guests affected will receive a full refund of their cruise fare and any pre-cruise purchases, including taxes and fees, to the original form of payment within 30 working days.
Those booked through a travel agent could contact them directly for refund arrangements.
In addition, guests holding unredeemed Future Cruise Credits, the validity will be automatically extended on Hong Kong sailings to the end of 2022, pending availability.
Affected guests who have unused Onboard Credit in their bookings could contact Royal Caribbean by February 23 at hkgdirectbk@rcclapac.com.
Royal Caribbean said remains committed to Hong Kong and will work with government officials to return to the destination.
