FCM will be hosting a live webinar on Wednesday (June 29) to culminate its “FCM Travels with Pride” campaign. Featuring industry experts and LGBTQ+ advocates, the free webinar will include insights about LGBTQ+ corporate traveller needs, resources for building an inclusive and intersectional travel program, as well as the opportunity for attendees to submit questions.
Taking place at 12 noon EST, the webinar will be moderated by Flight Centre Travel Group Americas Diversity Equity and Inclusion Manager Emese Graham and expert panelists include Stone Conroy, Geopolitical Analysis and Intelligence Manager of United Airlines and Ruben Van Schalkwyk, Regional Security Manager EMEA of Aon.
United is a recognized industry leader for LGBTQ+ inclusive policies and practices including community partnerships and business resource groups and was the first US airline to accommodate X gender markers in their booking system.
“It’s always important to think about safety and security considerations while travelling, but this is especially true for members of the LGBTQ+ community. As travel ramps up this summer, individuals and businesses should review their travel risk management policies and practices to ensure trips are as safe as they can be,” says Conroy.
Van Schalkwyk’s DEI experience has included providing LGBTQ+ travel training with Maiden Voyages. “Corporate travel is in full resurgence mode, making it the perfect time for businesses to revisit their travel programs. Our intention is to provide guidance on ensuring travel policies can address the unique safety considerations for LGBTQ+ travellers,” says FCM’s Graham.
FCM is the business travel division of Flight Centre Travel group and one of the world’s largest travel management companies with a 24/7 reach in over 100 countries. Registration for the virtual webinar is available HERE:
