FALSE NEGATIVE: Really, you thought it would work

Police say a man has been charged after he presented a fraudulent negative COVID-19 test result to officials at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport on Monday evening. Police say it happened at one of the airport’s Canada Border Services Agency checkpoints.

They say the man’s test result was, in fact, positive.

The accused, a 29-year-old from Stratford, Ont., is charged with using a forged document.

He is due in court on April 19.

Police say he has been taken to a hotel to quarantine.
