With the aim of simultaneously supporting the tourism industry and promoting domestic tourism this summer, Destination Canada has launched two new online tools to help drive bookings – the Canadian Packages Portal and a special Travel Offers page.
The national tourism marketing agency explains that while many tour operators have built out itineraries for domestic travellers to explore and experience the best of this country, many Canadians might not be aware of the packages and unique experiences that exist in our own backyard.
To that end, and in order to connect tour operators with Canadian travellers, Destination Canada has created a new tour packages portal showcasing Canadian tour packages across each province and territory. The portal is designed to support tour operators by providing access to an engaged audience, ultimately leading to conversion and bookings.
Content from the new package portal will also be incorporated throughout Destination Canada’s Keep Exploring website.

Travel Offers
Meanwhile, the new travel offers page highlights timely deals and offers from selected partners across the country with the aim of trying to aggregate multiple Canadian travel deals in one place to encourage that Canadians plan and book their next trip in Canada.
Partners include Air Canada, WestJet, Swoop, Flair and Via Rail, and there is a Hotel Association of Canada accommodation search function.
The site also highlights city and activity passes, helping Canadians discover unique offers and attractions in cities across the country from Regina to Montreal.
Also highlighted are Indigenous experiences and packages available to connect travellers with the stories and cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples across Canada.
