After being charged by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO), Moose Travel Company Ltd. was convicted of selling travel services without registration. On July 23, the company plead guilty to selling travel services without registration between July 2018 and May 2019 in contravention of the Travel Industry Act, 2002.

A fine of $5,500 plus a Victim Fine Surcharge was imposed.

Formed in 1997, TICO is a not-for-profit corporation wholly financed by Ontario-registered travel agents and wholesalers. It administers the Travel Industry Act, 2002 and the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund.
