CAN-AM DAYS 2025: Friendship festival a fixture on Myrtle Beach calendar

It’s never to early to start planning for Can-Am Days, Myrtle Beach’s annual festival of friendship for its Canadian visitors. So, mark the calendar, the 64th annual event will take place March 8-16, 2025.

The event is a chance for Myrtle Beach tourism and businesses to demonstrate some southern hospitality while showing their gratitude to Canadian visitors, many of whom return year after year, says Denielle Van Dyke of Visit Myrtle Beach.

“We love our Canadians,” she enthuses. “We welcome them with open arms.”

Van Dyke says that the timing of the event serves as a timely kick-off for the spring season, as it often aligns with some school breaks in Canada and comes just as the weather is warming up (but still cold in northern climes).

It also allows Canadians to connect – or reconnect – with each other, she says, noting that many do just at the inaugural reception and the annual Ripley party.

At the festival, which encompasses 14 communities around Myrtle Beach, Canadians are treated to a host of special events and exclusive discounts at hotels and activities, which can include up to 50% off select live entertainment, attractions, restaurants, and more.

Of course, while the festivities and special offers last throughout the week, the Grand Strand region of South Carolina always has a host of incentives that carry on well past the festival, sometimes all year.

And while some of the event dates for next year still TBA, here’s a small glimpse of what next year’s attendees can expect:

  • Can-Am Days Welcome Reception (likely March 18)
  • Ripley’s Can-Am Plaza Party in front of Ripley’s Aquarium
  • Run to the Sun Car Show (March 13-15)

Additional events happening across the Grand Strand during Can-Am Days include the Ontario Junior players Invitational Golf Tournament; the Surfside Beach BBQ Festival at Surfside Beach; and Nights at Nance Spring Concert Series.

Can-Am Days is hosted by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Myrtle Beach. For the full schedule of events as it fills in, and ongoing discounts and incentives, click HERE.
