Members of the travel trade are invited to join a special pandemic presentation on Thursday organized by the World Travel & Tourism Council, Carnival Corp., and Hilton Hotels. The virtual “2021 Global Scientific Summit on COVID-19” will include some of the world’s foremost science and public health experts for a free live virtual forum designed to deliver insights and best practices for moving beyond the pandemic.
The event, which is also open to the public, will take place on April 15 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. EDT and feature panel discussions with eight experts and hosted by Arnold Donald, President & CEO of Carnival Corp., which helped organize the inaugural summit in July 2020.
This year’s forum will focus on the “latest discoveries, evidence-based insights and best practices for living in a world with COVID-19,” and is intended for an audience of global tourism leaders and executives, as well as travel trade and business that want to hear up-to-the-minute scientific and medical research that can be used to inform practical, adaptable, and science-based solutions for mitigating COVID-19, in order to move beyond the pandemic.
Panels will feature fact-based discussions sharing the latest thinking on epidemiology, screening, testing and tracing, therapeutics, vaccines, practical prevention and mitigation practices, and more.
