G Adventures, announced the appointment of Ana Santa Maria to the position of Global Purpose Specialist, Alberta, where she will be responsible for growing G Adventures’ presence in Alberta, supporting agent partners in the market, and working with the community to create new business opportunities.

Santa Maria joins the company from Flight Centre where she spent three years as a travel agent.

Born in Mexico City, Santa Maria is fluent in Spanish. She has visited 33 countries, counts Hanoi, Puebla and Pamplona as her favourite cites, and credits travel for a lot of her personal growth.

Santa Maria joins a team of seven other Global Purpose Specialists across Canada.

Her first-hand experience working as a travel professional planning life-changing trips, coupled with her exposure to numerous G Adventures trips, makes her an ideal individual to continue to support our agency partners in Alberta,” says Sean Russo, national sales manager.

Former Alberta GPS, Gary Armstrong, is now supporting agent partners in eastern and northern Ontario.
