Goway and Air New Zealand faced off on the cricket pitch last Thursday in an annual tradition of partnership and friendly rivalry. The teams gathered at the Toronto Cricket Club for an afternoon match followed by a reception, attended by travel trade guests and “friends of Goway,” plus over 100 staff from the travel company.
Meanwhile, Air New Zealand’s North America sales team flew in for the game from key offices around Canada and the US.
The event was spearheaded by Anthony Saba, Goway’s VP South Pacific, who said, “Goway is so grateful for our partnership with Air New Zealand and their continued support in this event. Longtime team members look forward to it, and our new growing teams are excited to be part of the tradition.”
And Air New Zealand’ account executive Mason Spencer, who was MVP of the match, enthused, “It was a great day, and the Air New Zealand Team loved it – even those new to cricket.”
And the result? Air New Zealand 152 runs, 4 wickets (avg. 38) – Goway: 103 runs, 9 wickets (avg. 11.5).
