Travel Edge top performers celebrated their status in several exotic destinations ranging from Antigua to Croatia, while planting trees to help the environment was top of mind with both Flight Centre and ONVIGO. And a group of agents tagged along on Air Canada’s inaugural flight from Montreal to Tulum, Mexico.

Luxury host agency Travel Edge Network (TEN) recently celebrated its top performers with a series of travel experiences to mark their accomplishments. This year, TEN featured three distinct destinations: London, Croatia, and Antigua.
Travel Edge Network advisors also recently racked up some miles on a Knowledge Trip to Finland. Designed to offer firsthand experience in trending destinations, the trip, hosted by Visit Finland, and Finnair provided an in-depth immersive trip that included experiencing the Northern Lights in Lapland North, a sledge ride led by a group of energetic huskies, snowshoeing, and getting up close with the local wildlife including reindeer and snowmobile safaris.

FLIGHT CENTRE
Flight Centre and Reforest report they have hit their inaugural annual target of contributing one million trees four months ahead of schedule thanks to significant demand from customers for the travel agency’s “Captain’s Pack” packages, which includes a contribution toward ‘Planting for the Planet’ with each purchase.
Flight Centre Canada’s Executive VP Chadd Andre, stated, “’Planting for the Planet’ has seen the million trees be committed across Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Morocco, with half of them already planted, and the remainder to come later this year. It’s a great start to what is an ongoing initiative and we’re looking forward to our customers assisting us reach further tree planting milestones into the future. As one of the world’s largest travel retailers, we recognize our responsibility to preserve and enrich the places we love.”
Flight Centre sales from across Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK has contributed the following efforts:
- Atlas Mountains, Morocco: 730,000 trees
- Wimmera, Australia: 315,000 trees
- Patui Forest, New Zealand: 35,000 trees
- Vancouver Island wetlands, Canada: 6,000 trees
The program also has community benefits such as in Morocco where it supports a women’s co-op nursery and First Nations Berber community activity.
ONVIGO
New Canadian independent travel advisor host agency ONVIGO has announced a partnership with Trees4Travel, which allows travellers to help understand and reduce their carbon footprint and make a positive impact on the planet.

CAA Atlantic
CAA Atlantic has donated four fully electric delivery vans to four food banks across the Atlantic provinces: Feed Nova Scotia, Dartmouth, NS; Community Food Sharing Association, St. John’s, NL; Food Depot Alimentaire, Moncton, NB; and Upper Room Hospitality Ministry, Charlottetown, PEI.
“CAA Atlantic is committed to community giving,” says Dawn Dalley, president & CEO at CAA Atlantic. “Our hope is these vans reduce the operating costs and carbon footprint for the food banks, bringing more food to Atlantic Canadians in a cleaner, greener way.”
In addition to the vehicles, the donation includes branded vehicle wraps, winter tires, and a level 2 electric vehicle charger with installation. The delivery vans are also stocked with non-perishable food. As it’s able, CAA Atlantic hopes to expand this initiative to other deserving food banks across Atlantic Canada.
