YHZ TO MCO: Sunwing celebrates five consecutive seasons

12 JAN 2017:  Sunwing has announced the return of its service from Halifax to Orlando for its fifth consecutive year. Operating on Fridays from February 10 until May 12, the tour operator continues to make it easy for Halifax residents to visit the sunshine state.

Perfect for families – and everyone else – Orlando and Kissimmee are best known for their theme parks, like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort. President of Tour Operations, Andrew Dawson said, “Orlando and Kissimmee remain two of our consistently most popular Floridian destinations, so it was important for us to be able to continue this service for Nova Scotian residents.

“Plus, when combined with our value-added packages, it makes exploring Florida quite easy, affordable and very fun.”

The news was also well received by Bert van der Stege, vice president, Business Development & chief commercial officer for Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA).

“We welcome the return of Sunwing’s direct flights to Orlando. Florida is an extremely popular destination for sun seekers and with the early arrival of winter this season, we are pleased that our passengers will have a number of options to meet their travel needs.”

As well as providing convenient direct flights to this popular Florida vacation hotspot, Sunwing has a wide selection of popular resorts and private homes situated close to many of the region’s key attractions.

All vacation packages include a complimentary standard size rental car, and families that opt to rent a private home with 3-6 bedrooms will receive a complimentary upgrade to a 7 seater minivan. All Sunwing vacation packages to Florida include return flights on Sunwing Airlines where passengers can sit back and relax and enjoy a delicious buy on board selection of light meals and snacks with choices inspired by Food Network Canada Celebrity Chef, Lynn Crawford.
