Seeing is believing and VISIT FLORIDA wants to ensure that Canadians are comfortable travelling again to the Sunshine State after Hurricane Ian through newly relaunched marketing efforts, including post-storm video snapshots designed to declare, and illustrate, that that “the sun’s shining in Florida.”
As impacted communities in Southwest Florida recover, VISIT FLORIDA has resumed its marketing initiatives in Canada highlighting the unaffected areas that are open and ready to welcome visitors from this country.
As Florida’s official tourism marketing corporation, VISIT FLORIDA plays a vital role in the state’s crisis response and recovery efforts, including communicating that most of Florida’s cities and regions, including Clearwater, Miami, Orlando, Palm Beach, Pensacola, and Tampa, are “eager to welcome travellers.”
Post-storm marketing programs designed to deliver this message include a comprehensive digital winter campaign, co-op marketing with Canadian airline and tour operator partners, social media marketing, educational webinars with Florida destination partners, travel agent FAMs, and VISIT FLORIDA Leadership meetings with Canadian Partners in early 2023.
The campaign also includes a YouTube video showing post-hurricane images captured in 14 destinations throughout the state, assuring travellers that the “Sun’s Shining in Florida and that booking a trip now is as good a time as ever.”
“Tourism is Florida’s top economic driver and VISIT FLORIDA is committed to safeguarding our industry. Our marketing programs will help protect Florida’s tourism brand and demonstrate to visitors that Florida offers infinite vacation options,” says VISIT FLORIDA President and CEO Dana Young.
