27 DEC 2018: The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association has announced Carnival Corp chairman Micky Arison as chairman of the FCCA executive committee. He takes over on January 2, following the completed term of Adam Goldstein, vice chairman of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
Arison is one of the original members of the FCCA executive committee and previously served as chairman in the past for a total of 12 years.
His most recent tenure was from 2015-2017.
“I am honored to again take the helm as FCCA chairman. I could not be more excited and to help destinations and stakeholders maximize the potential win-win situations this industry offers,” Arison said.
At the same time Albino Supino Di Lorenzo, criuse operations VP for MSC Cruises USA, was voted in as chairman for the FCCA Operations Committee.
Di Lorenzo serves a two-year term, replacing Carlos Torres de Navarra, vice president of global port and destination development at Carnival Corp.
