WORLD TRAVEL MARKET KICKS OFF TODAY: And we are there

The world’s biggest English language travel trade show – WTM London (otherwise known as World Travel Market) – kicks off today (Nov. 4) at ExCel in London. Building on last year’s turnout, which saw more than 46,000 attendees, 4,000 exhibitors and 50 tourism ministers in attendance, the 2025 edition of WTM London is on track to be the largest in its history.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of the show and “all indicators suggest WTM London 2025 will be a landmark edition,” says event director Chris Carter-Chapman.

Thanks to a 25% space expansion at ExCel, WTM London 2025 is poised to grow even further, and allowing for the introduction of WTM Trend Fest – a new cultural program spotlighting immersive global experiences from across the globe. Themes span wellness, pop culture, gastronomy, sport, and adventure.

An unparalleled conference program will feature 40 sessions across all six conference tracks with a common theme: ‘Reimagining travel in a changing world.’

Popular annual sessions such as the Ministers Summit at WTM, Sustainability Summit, Geo-economics Summit, Marketing Summit, WTM Global Travel Report and ITT Future You Forum, will also return to the stages of WTM London this year.

The WTM Ministers’ Summit, now in its 19th year, will once again bring together global tourism leaders to shape the future of travel through dynamic discussions on policy, strategy, and investment.

Conference manager, Brooke Gilbertson says, “The rate of change in travel is accelerating, which is why we’ve briefed all our speakers to consider this year’s theme of Reimagining Travel in a Changing World, and to help attendees find ways to thrive and prosper during this pivotal period for the travel and tourism industry.”

As usual, Travel Industry’s Today’s editor Mike Baginski is there this year to tap into the pulse of the global industry and gather stories, interviews and insights from the event, which will shape the trade in the months and years ahead. Stay tuned.
