Peru will be front and centre in Vancouver tonight (May 8), with the Latin American country’s tourist board entertaining – and educating – agents in the city, following a successful stop in Toronto on Tuesday. Then it’s back across the country to Montreal on Monday.

Along with airline and tourism partners, Promperú showcased Peru’s diverse offerings, from its natural beauty to its vibrant culinary scene and natural beauty to ancient wonders like Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, and Lake Titicaca.

The events also provide a platform for Peruvian travel suppliers to connect directly with the Canadian market, providing valuable tips for travelling and sending clients to the country.

Among the partners attending from Peru (photo) were:

  • Andean Adventures – Raul Medina, Owner & Founder
  • Lima Tours – Andrea Ferreyra, Business Development Manager, USA & Canada
  • PeruRail – Naylea Boza, Inside Sales
  • Sun Gate Tours – David Quispe, CEO & Founder
  • South American Tours del Peru – Karin Mori, Sales Director, North America
  • Viajes Pacífico – Karen Marca, Sales Leader USA & Canada
  • Exploor Peru – Oliver Eberlein, Co-Founder
  • Air Transat – Laura Albrow (Toronto) and Elysia Ohayon (Montreal)
  • Copa Airlines – Laura Marin (Toronto) and Loraine Céspedes (Montreal)

“Canada continues to be a priority market for Peru, and we’re thrilled to see such strong interest and enthusiasm from Canadian travel advisors,” said Jaime Cardenas, Director of Promperú Canada. “These events allow us to highlight the range of experiences Peru offers, from iconic sites to emerging destinations and sustainable travel options that really resonate with today’s travellers.”
