WESTJET BOOSTS BC FLIGHTS TO MEXICO

Los Cabos

WestJet is boosting flight service to Mexico this winter, boasting a 14% increase in capacity from Vancouver International Airport, as well as adding weekly non-stop service between Vancouver and Ixtapa.

The flights from YVR include:

• Los Cabos, 11x weekly, year-round
• Cancun, 9x weekly, year-round
• Puerto Vallarta, 9x weekly, year-round
• Huatulco, 4x weekly, starting Oct. 29
• Mazatlan, 2x weekly, from Nov. 3
• Ixtapa, 1x weekly, from Dec. 22

The carrier says it will be offering more seat to Mexico from Vancouver than any other carrier, and cites additional regional flights from the lower mainland by Sunwing.

Meanwhile, new Abbotsford service includes:

• Los Cabos, 1x weekly, from Dec. 4
• Puerto Vallarta, 2x weekly, from Dec. 5

“We are thrilled to bring more opportunity for our guests across BC’s Lower Mainland to seamlessly connect to their favourite destinations across Mexico this winter,” says WestJet VP Chris Avery. “In alignment with our strategy, we are proud to add Vancouver to the list of Canadian communities through which we are creating extensive and affordable opportunities for our guests to plan their winter getaways.”
