SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE: More Spain for Canadians in 2025

Spain’s Consul for Tourism affairs, Isabel Martin

Spain’s tourist office in Canada is welcoming new Air Transat flights from Montreal to Valencia starting next summer, sentiment that was shared at an event last week in Toronto hosted by the country’s new Consul for Tourism affairs, Isabel Martin.

“This route to Valencia is a new gateway for Canadians to discover another amazing destination in Spain, broadening the range of regions and cities our country has to offer,” said Martin. “Connectivity with Canada is essential to strengthen Spain’s position as a leading tourist destination in the market.”

The direct Transat seasonal service, which will take flight on June 25 and allow Canadians to reach Spain’s third largest city in approximately seven hours, is the airline’s fourth destination in Spain and is open for booking now.

Visit Valencia says the connection is an opportunity for Canadians to not only to discover Valencia’s unique Mediterranean charm, but will serve as a gateway to Spain’s entire east coast.

With sun-soaked beaches, outdoor activities, and culinary delights (the city is known as the birthplace of paella), Valencia offers a blend of historic and contemporary attractions, from the avant-garde City of Arts and Sciences to vibrant local festivals.

Named a European Green Capital for 2024, Valencia takes pride in its status as a model for urban sustainability in Europe.
