RETAIL ROUND-UP: Agent news, fams & incentives

This week: ACTA agents discovered Los Cabos, while three other ‘Sell Your Way to the USA’ winners road-tripped in Nevada; First in Service (F1S) announced summit dates; Crystal takes a new Approach; and Trafalgar introduces a river cruise booking incentive.

ACTA

Two dozen ACTA members had the chance to discover Los Cabos, Mexico in late May (banner photo) as part of the association’s Immersive Destination Learning Experience, hosted  by the Los Cabos Tourism Board.

Throughout the week, travel advisors participated in educational programming, destination site inspections, and immersive cultural and culinary experiences across San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. The experience showcased the diversity of Los Cabos’ tourism offerings while providing advisors with valuable firsthand product knowledge to better support their clients.

Reflecting the growing popularity of Los Cabos among Canadian travellers, several new air routes will launch for the upcoming winter season, making the destination even more accessible from Canada:

  • Toronto-Los Cabos: Three times weekly beginning Nov. 16 (Porter Airlines)
  • Edmonton-Los Cabos: Four times weekly beginning Nov. 16 (Porter Airlines)
  • Ottawa-Los Cabos: Twice weekly beginning Dec. 18 (Porter Airlines)
  • Montreal-Los Cabos: Weekly beginning Dec. 10 (Air Transat)

In other ACTA news, the association is offering 20% savings on its Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) and Certified Travel Manager (CTM) designation programs for enrollments made by June 30. Use the promo code CERTSAVE20.

First in Service (F1S)

First in Service Travel F1S) has announced that its 2026 F1S SUMM1T will take place Oct. 25-28, at the Sofitel Barú Cartagena in Colombia; registration among its advisors and partners is already on track to be completely filled.

The SUMM1T serves as the cornerstone gathering of the F1S global network, bringing together advisors, partners, and leaders for curated programming, strategic collaboration, and celebration. In celebrating its 35th anniversary year, this year’s theme, ‘Chispa. Alma. Vida.’ – which translates to “Spark. Soul. Life.” – underscores the inspiring philosophy that has carried F1S for 35 years and will guide the company forward, particularly as it focuses on longevity, both in wellness and in business.

In addition to the core SUMM1T program in Cartagena, F1S will offer optional pre- and post-SUMM1T “1 Discovery Retreats,” providing advisors with deeper immersion in Colombia’s culture and destinations.
