This week: Air Transat and partners were Berlin bound; the world’s largest AI summit for the travel industry is set to return in October; and Fora Travel has put down roots in British Columbia.
Air Transat-Visit Berlin
Air Transat, in partnership with Visit Berlin, hosted eight travel agencies and tour operators from Ontario on a familiarization trip to the German capital early this month. The initiative celebrated the launch of Air Transat’s new, exclusive nonstop route connecting Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Berlin Brandenburg (BER) airports.
The itinerary offered a diverse taste of Berlin, including fine dining at the TV Tower and Humboldt Forum, visits to acclaimed museums like the Feuerle Collection, and guided tours exploring the city’s baroque architecture, Jewish history, and Cold War legacy.
“At Air Transat, we’ve always championed the transformative power of travel. This holds particularly true today, as we provide the only non-stop service from Canada to Berlin, a journey enhanced by our acclaimed in-flight service—recognized by Skytrax as the World’s Best Leisure Airline for the seventh time,” explained Laura Albrow, Account Manager at Air Transat, who also traveled with the group.
“Bringing these travel experts to the German capital allowed them to truly grasp the city,” said Laura Albrow, account manager at Air Transat, who travelled with the group, which included representatives from Flight Centre; Royal Scenic; Huntington Travel; BCD Travel; Jade Travel; Direct Travel; TravelBrands; and All Seasons Travel.
