PORTER TO PALM SPRINGS, SAN DIEGO

Porter Airlines is launching non-stop flights to San Diego International Airport (SAN) and Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) from Toronto-Pearson International Airport (YYZ) this December. San Diego is a year-round route, starting Dec. 9, with four weekly flights. Palm Springs is a winter seasonal service, starting Dec. 12 with three weekly flights.

The initial flight schedule is as follows:

  • Toronto-San Diego-Toronto (Mon., Wed., Fri., Sun.)
  • Toronto-Palm Springs-Toronto (Tue., Thur., Sat.)

“Porter’s new service to Palm Springs and San Diego complements its rapidly growing list of routes offered from Toronto Pearson. Last year, approximately 50,000 passengers had to take a connecting flight to reach these California destinations, so the new service will go a long way in meeting passenger demand and offering greater choice,” commented Khalil Lamrabet, interim chief operating officer of Toronto Pearson.

More than 2.6 million people that travel between Canada and California every year for business, tourism, academic and cultural collaboration, along with visits to family and friends,” added, Shaikh, consul general of Canada in Los Angeles.

Porter now serves four California cities nonstop from Toronto-Pearson: Los Angeles, Palm Springs, San Diego and San Francisco. Passengers can also explore more of the Western U.S. through San Diego and Palm Springs by connecting on Alaska Airlines.
