Additionally, Porter Airlines is offering up to 20% off all New York itineraries when flights are booked by Aug. 7, for travel through Dec. 15.
Porter Airlines operates up to 91 weekly flights to the New York City metropolitan area, serving LaGuardia Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport. Nonstop routes are available from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Toronto Pearson, Montreal Trudeau and Ottawa, with connecting itineraries for additional cities across Canada.
“New York was Porter’s first US destination in 2008, and it has remained our top international market every year since then,” said Edmond Eldebs, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Porter Airlines.
Julie Coker, President and CEO of NYC Tourism + Conventions, added, “Canada has long been one of New York City’s most important international markets, and we are focused on strengthening that connection by making it easier and more compelling for Canadian travellers to choose NYC.
“The Northern Neighbour Deal is a targeted effort to drive travel from our second-largest international market, encouraging Canadians to book a summer visit while generating new business for hotels, attractions, restaurants and cultural organizations across the five boroughs.”
Earlier this month, landmarks across New York City lit up in red and white in celebration of cross-border friendship, business and cultural ties for Canada Day. On the evening of July 1, the following buildings and sites lit up in the colours of the Canadian flag: Empire State Building; Javits Center; Mercer Labs; The PHOENIX Family Thrill Roller Coaster at Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park; SUMMIT One Vanderbilt; and Weylin.
More than 800,000 Canadian are expected to visit New York this year – a 3.1% increase over 2025.
