Citing the success of its inaugural spring shows in April, Oakville, Ont.-based Granite Travel Trade Expos has announced new regional travel trade show dates in the fall, including more Ontario cities plus locations in Western Canada.

More than 25 travel suppliers are registered for the Fall events, including Bahia Principe Hotels and Resorts, Porter, Transat, Cuba Tourist Board, Blue Diamond, St Kitts Tourism Authority, and more.

The series of regional travel trade events are designed to connect industry suppliers and top-producing travel agents, facilitating valuable and essential in-person interactive consultations and presentations. The shows are geographically located in cities with agents who provide suppliers with significant sales volume, though they are typically less serviced than larger cities in the area.

Each event focuses on training and networking which exemplify the desire for face-to-face and in person interaction with agents and the products that they love to sell. There is also six 15-minute presentations by suppliers, plus trade show, dinner, and prize giveaways.

The Fall schedule will be as follows:

• Edmonton – Tuesday, Oct. 3
• Victoria, BC – Wednesday, Oct. 4
• Surrey, BC – Thursday, Oct. 5
• Ottawa – Monday, Nov. 6
• Pickering/Ajax, Ont – Tues. Nov. 7
• Vaughan, Ont. – Wednesday, Nov. 8
• Burlington, Ont. – Thursday, Nov. 9

“The expansion of Expos is a direct response to the success of our April shows and industry demand to bring it to other markets,” says company partner Bradley Dean. “The feedback we received from attendees was overwhelmingly positive and we had a lot of agents asking if we were bringing the show to their communities. We’re very excited to do that this fall.”
