Unique Vacations Canada has announced the appointment of Jordon McGrowder to the position of Business Development Manager, Alberta, Manitoba, and Northwest Territories. He joins the Sandals/Beaches team as the second BDM in western Canada and replaces Donné Nixon, who is moving to Toronto to become Human Resources Manager at UVC headquarters.

With extensive experience in customer service, marketing, and promotions in a number of sectors, including travel and tourism, Maureen Barnes-Smith, VP, Sales & Marketing Canada, says McGrowder is well-suited for the position and boasts “energy, enthusiasm and passion for the travel industry.”

McGrowder is a graduate of the University of West Indies who migrated to Canada to complete his post-graduate education at Seneca College in Toronto.

Barnes-Smith says, “Western Canada has long been an important market for Sandals and Beaches Resorts – we’ve had consistent in-market sales representation long before any other Caribbean resort company did – and now with Jordon working alongside the veteran presence of Winston Chang in Vancouver, we’re once again fully equipped to support our partners out west.”
