Marriott International has debuted Series by Marriott, an addition to its 30 hotel brands that is designed to celebrate regional character while delivering the consistency of the hotel company’s global standards. The first phase in the series – The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott –includes 26 hotels across key destinations in India.
Series by Marriott is a regionally created, globally connected, collection brand that brings together locally recognized hotel groups under the umbrella of Marriott Bonvoy. Designed for ‘global domestic’ travellers, the brand offers “the basics done well” – comfortable rooms, reliable service, and locally relevant experiences that reflect the character of each destination.
The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott, is the brand’s inaugural set of properties to open globally, showcasing a collection of eco-sensitive hotels rooted in sustainability and regional charm, located in both bustling business hubs to serene leisure escapes.
First Phase
The first wave of openings under The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott, brings over 1,900 rooms in 23 cities, from the Fern Residency Ahmedabad to two properties in Mumbai.
Amenities at the hotels include grab’n’go breakfasts, kits for single women, “healthy sleep” offerings, turndown service and treats; and a lamp lighting ceremony at dusk.

A broader global rollout of Series by Marriott will take place in 2026 with over 100 planned launches.
