KENSINGTON TO BOLDY GO WHERE LUXURY TRAVEL HASN’T GONE BEFORE

From space to sea, and air to ice, Kensington says its new Expeditions collection is set to “push the boundaries” of luxury travel, blending highly customized travel experiences – such as curated visits to next-generation space stations – with immersive adventure across land, sea, air and space.

The new itineraries will combine immersive exploration with private jets, bespoke camps, private villas, and even venturing into the final frontier to pioneering outposts that are part of the world’s first commercial space station currently in development.

With an anticipated launch in May 2026, the space-based experiences will complement Kensington’s “legacy of delivering deeply personal and unforgettable travel across the globe,” understates the Toronto-based travel company.

Developed in response to what the company says is growing client demand for more adventurous journeys without sacrificing comfort, Kensington Expeditions itineraries will offer private, tailor-made itineraries guided by leading scientists, marine biologists, explorers, and cultural experts.

Each expedition will incorporate hands-on conservation and scientific engagement alongside exclusive cultural experiences, offering access to activities and locations not available to the general public.

Through partnerships with researchers and local organizations, guests participate in field-based initiatives such as marine biodiversity monitoring, community-driven conservation projects, and guided ecological studies. A dedicated expedition project manager will ensure seamless coordination, while scientists, naturalists, and cultural experts lead workshops, private sessions, and immersive tours.

The interactions will offer deeper insight into ongoing research and preservation efforts, transforming the journey into “a platform for learning, contribution, and purposeful travel.”

Some of the terrestrial itineraries include:

  • Antarctica: This 12-day private superyacht expedition begins in Patagonia before heading south to Antarctica’s remote and ice-sculpted wilderness. Guests explore the White Continent alongside scientists and polar experts, with opportunities for activities such as kayaking, submersible dives, and visits to working research stations. Highlights include encounters with penguin colonies, breaching whales, and historic outposts like Port Lockroy and Vernadsky Station.
  • British Columbia: A journey through the Great Bear Rainforest combining a luxury yacht experience aboard the Pacific Yellowfin with a stay at Nimmo Bay Wilderness Lodge. Guests encounter rare wildlife including the Kermode spirit bear, grizzlies, humpback whales, and coastal wolves, with opportunities for cultural and ecological exploration.
  • Oman: This 14-day itinerary through Northern and Southern Oman combines cultural exploration, outdoor activities, and stays in a range of settings, from city hotels and mountain lodges to private desert camps and a restored dhow. • Costa Rica: A 10-day expedition through Costa Rica combines a week aboard a private expedition yacht featuring six suites, a 19-person crew, private chefs, dive pros, and a wellness deck with gym, hammam, and cold plunge.  Guests will spend three nights at Hacienda Montezuma, moving between marine, rainforest, and volcanic landscapes and will enjoy experiences ranging from diving at Caño Island and dolphin encounters in the open ocean to rainforest trekking, wildlife tracking, and hands-on conservation projects.
  • Chasing the Horizons: This 34-day private jet journey follows the equator around the world, offering rare access to some of the planet’s most remote and biologically rich regions. From the coral reefs of Raja Ampat and the rainforests of Borneo to Rwanda’s volcanoes and Brazil’s dune deserts, the expedition blends wildlife encounters, cultural immersion, and seamless logistics. A fully customized itinerary encompasses travel via private yachts, helicopters, and fixed-wing charters, ensuring efficient access to remote landscapes without sacrificing comfort. Accommodations range from jungle lodges and overwater villas to luxury mobile camps and yachts.

“Kensington Expeditions was born out of conversations with our clients who were seeking more meaningful, hands-on experiences while maintaining the highest standards of service, privacy, and comfort,” said Neal Bateman, Head of Expeditions. “We aim to provide rare access to extraordinary people, places, and knowledge, delivered through a thoughtful, fully personalized approach.”

Travellers are equipped with personalized expedition gear, such as monogrammed dive equipment or custom 3D star maps. A range of travel options includes private yachts, private jets, off-market lodges, bespoke camps, exclusive access, and a full 24/7 concierge service to support all travel needs beyond the expedition itself.
